“We are the creative force of our life, and through our own decisions rather than our conditions, if we carefully learn to do certain things, we can accomplish those goals.” —Stephen Covey
I have been thinking a lot this week about choices.
How do you make a decision when your choices represent conflicting values?
Rest vs. quality time with family or friends
Responding to communications vs. limiting screen time
Cleaning the house vs. spending time in nature
Working on your business vs. working on a relationship
Following your parents rules vs. exploring with friends
Volunteering in community vs. taking care of your own personal business
I think we are conditioned to believe there is a right and wrong decision.
What if it's possible to create a path where instead of "VS" we fill that space with "AND"?
What if the way to do that is by knowing that either choice in the moment is fine?
What if there are endless possibilities to make different choices as they arise?
What if all that takes is a small tweak in how we think about it?
Maybe there is more time than you think there is.
