A Season for Everything

“Autumn seemed to arrive suddenly that year. The morning of the first September was crisp and golden as an apple.” J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

And just like that.....we shift from growing food and harvesting, to putting everything to bed.

I love the seasons in Colorado. They are short and to the point.

Reflections on a Summer that was exactly what it was supposed to be.

  • My son grew taller than me.

  • Only a few potato plants produced potatoes- but the ones that did grow were tasty.

  • Some relationships grew and some grew apart.

  • Some seeds of community projects I helped to plant in the past- came to fruition.

  • Most of the bugs have gone we can play outside again.

  • Not everything went as planned.

  • Some things went better than planned.

There was so much more than that....highs and lows...and all the in-betweens.

There is a season for everything and it's ok to move forward to the next one.

It's what nature does best.

and I guess I do too....but not without a pause for gratitude of all that came to be.

This summer.

Happy Friday!
